Set up a Wallet

The most important and basic thing you’ll need to interact with Linea is an external wallet (e.g. MetaMask) that supports the Linea network.
When you're setting up a wallet be sure to:
Download and install only the latest version from an official source;
Follow the setup guide carefully;
Safely backup your recovery phrases;
Never share your recovery phrases with anyone, under any circumstances!;
Never input your recovery phrase to a website or app, other than your wallet app.
Below you can find detailed instructions on how to set up a Metamask wallet in your web browser.
Installing Metamask
Step 1: Go to the Metamask
Step 2: Click “Install MetaMask”. You can install the wallet on many different browsers and on both iOS and Android supported devices.
Step 3: Click “Add to browser” in the top right corner.
Step 4: Click “Add Extension” to complete the installation.
You will know Metamask has been installed when you see their fox logo in the top right corner of your browser.
Remember to never, in any situation, give someone your private key or recovery phrase ("seed phrase"). This will give someone complete access to your crypto! This is also your only recovery option in case you forget your password or lose your device. It is best to write the seed phrase on a piece of paper and store it somewhere safe. Making more than one copy is also a good idea!
Step 5: Click “I’ve Copied It Somewhere Safe” once your seed words file has been securely stored.
By default your Metamask wallet is set to the Ethereum mainnet network. To interact with Linea Kishu you should connect to the Linea network:
